Overview
What halo is
halo is e-beam sterilised cornea, sclera and pericardium, sterilised to a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶. It is ready to use, with no rinsing or rehydration.
It suits tectonic and reconstructive work, where the tissue has to be on the shelf already.
halo corneas are clear and stay clear, which makes post-operative assessment easier and leaves a better cosmetic result.
